Position Summary
The Director of Learning and Impact leads and coordinates data collection and analysis, learning and assessment, and data translation and interpretation of the foundations grantmaking and strategic initiatives, working collaboratively within the Community Impact department, with foundation leadership, and in cross-departmental teams and committees. The Director of Learning and Impact works closely with the Vice President of Community Impact to advance the goals of the foundations strategic initiatives. This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- In consultation with leadership, develop an approach to learning and evaluation of the foundations strategic initiatives
- Provide cross-departmental project management of the strategic initiatives by creating agendas, facilitating cross-departmental meetings, ensuring information flows efficiently, and documenting progress
- Establish and lead a cross-departmental team focused on learning, including defining and tracking impact measures, developing reports to share data both internally and externally, and creating systems and dashboards for managing information
- Develop regular assessments of grant programs and grantmaking more broadly by topic and population
- Provide data, research, and analysis to teams throughout the foundation upon request.
- Partner with the Communications department and staff across departments to share learnings publicly and communicate the impact of the foundations grantmaking and initiatives
- Oversee the strategic use of Salesforce to support the business operations of the CI team
- Work with external consultants to ensure projects are designed, implemented, and utilized in ways that advance the foundations goals and promote equity. Serve as point of contact for information and data.
- Perform the duties of a department manager, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, supervising, evaluating, recognizing and disciplining direct reports, setting employee goals and objectives, resolving employee issues, and ensuring compliance with the Employee Handbook and related personnel policies
