Wahana Visi Indonesia is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work and collaborate to empower the most vulnerable children, family and community through community development, advocacy, and emergency response for sustainable transformation regardless of religion, race, ethnic or gender.

Since 1998, Wahana Visi Indonesia has carried out various community development programs focusing on children. Hundred thousands of children in Indonesia have been benefited from WVIs accompaniment program. Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.

Key Responsibilities :

Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for leading district-level advocacy, safeguarding, and child protection initiatives under the KREASI program. This role strengthens government collaboration, supports policy development, and ensures the integration of child protection and safeguarding standards across all program activities. This position will ensure high-quality implementation, effective stakeholder engagement, and sustainable changes that improve the protection and well – being of children in learning environments. Additionally, the Project Coordinator plays a key role in building collaboration with stakeholders, facilitating capacity-building through training, mentoring, coaching and leading the project team with an inspiring and adaptive leadership approach to achieve sustainable impact at the school level. This role requires strong analytical skills, adaptive leadership, government governance and a deep commitment to transforming education. quality implementation, effective stakeholder engagement, and sustainable changes .

About KREASI Project:

Kolaborasi untuk Edukasi Anak Indonesia (KREASI), or Collaboration for the Education of Indonesian Children, is a program designed to accelerate the improvement of literacy, numeracy, and character education for preschool and primary school students in 8 districts across 4 provinces in Indonesia. The program is funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) through the Multiplier Grant allocated for Indonesia, leveraging the investment of the Australian Governments Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for its INOVASI Phase 3 program. Wahana Visi Indonesia, in partnership with Save The Children Indonesia, will implement KREASI project in North Halmahera District. The program closely aligns with Indonesias national education goals, particularly the Kurikulum Merdeka initiative, which emphasizes essential and flexible learning processes tailored to each student’s interests, talents, and needs, focusing on holistic, relevant, and sustainable education.

Strategy Development & Planning

Work with the district ecosystem and local governments to strengthen local institutions to ensure they can sustain the benefits of the program after the project is closed.

De velop project priorities and approaches based on community and partners capacities, needs, resources and opportunities and in alignment with W ahana Visi and KREASI S trategy or Standards.

D evelop GEDSI analysis and assessment aligned with the project approaches .

Coordinate revision of plans and budgets for programs at district level in response to monitoring, reflection, and learning with the community and the program team.

Develop detailed implementation plans for education , child protection, and GE D SI activities aligned with project goals and timelines.

Plan and implement effective initiatives to achieve performance targets as stated in project proposals/designs.

Resource Acquisition & Management

Prepare program budgets in consultation with key partners for management and donor approval and ensure funds are spent in alignment with budgets on time.

Monitor program expenditures to ensure that they are within the project budget at the national level and under Wahana Visi Indonesia financial policies and donors requirements

Cooperatively with finance to develop and monitor budgets and all supply chain management to comply with the procedures and SOPs (in line with Wahana Visi Indonesias standard)

Ensure the effective management and engagement of key stakeholders and partners to maximize program impact and success at the district level.

Identify risks and propose adaptive solutions to ensure smooth and impactful program delivery.

Capacity Building

Through sustainability/phase-out plans within education district ecosystems, build strong local capacity and transfer skills and knowledge to local entities.

Ensure capacity building of all program staff and pertinent partners

Supervise pilot schools (and replication schools) to implement modules.

Facilitate training, coaching, and awareness-raising sessions on safeguarding, positive discipline, and safe lear ning environments for teachers, school leaders, caregivers, and community actors.

Strengthen community-based mechanisms for child protection, including referral pathways and collaboration with relevant local agencies (including formation & facilitate and conduct capacity building and monitoring) .

Support the development and dissemination of learning materials, tools, and guidelines on child protection and based on GEDSI analysis .

Promote ongoing reflection and learning among staff members . Provide support, guidance, and feedback to staff, facilitators, or consultants involved in education activities.

Develop a dynamic organizational culture for the project that conveys the principles of a Learning Organization and applies principles of our Core Documents, policies, manuals, and procedures.

Share lessons learned of program implementation with communities, development partners and other WV Partnership stakeholders at district Level.

Train local partners or volunteers who work directly with programme beneficiaries on Safeguarding policies, procedures, behaviours, and reporting protocols.

Accountability & Quality Assurance:

Ensure the program’s implementation along with the Provincial Team or KREASI Technical Progra m Unit from the partner organization.

Build trust among schools, communities, and local stakeholders and ensure program activities reflect local needs and contexts.

Co ordinate and oversee field-level execution of literacy and numeracy interventions.

Closely monitoring the project in North Halmahera District (progress, challenge, impact, evidence-based result, expenditures).

Ensure that the processes of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation are performed on time and with high quality.

Responsible for delivering the project activities to achieve the goal.

Manage and report on the budget according to accountability standards of the national office and donor guidelines, while ensuring the highest levels of financial stewardship and integrity.

Ensure that the DME enables the program and the projects to make a defined and measurable in working together with partners.

Ensure that the DME processes and products are in alignment with donor standards and submitted project milestones.

Ensure a monitoring system and tools are used by all staff to track the progress of project implementation and to capture learning.

To prepare project documentation and reporting at the national level to ensure all required reports are submitted on time, accurate , and complete. This includes the provision of information for monthly reports, quarterly reports, and monitoring checklist, along with updated indicator tracking table and project documentation, and host visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff from other offices and coordinating with the Communications Unit all media and film crew visits to the project area.

Ensure that the programs and projects contribute to supporter transformation.

Networking & Coordination:

Lead advocacy efforts with district government, educatio n authorities, and community stakeholders (including faith leaders) to advance KREASIs priorities in public policy, education system, GE D SI, child protection , and safeguarding.
