Key Responsibilities:
Assist employees and guest
Ensure that WV PNG Employees and guests have a boat for travelling on time
Conduct regular checks on boat
Ensure the boat and motor remain physically sound and compliant with PNG maritime and safety regulation
Ensure all logbooks for the boat and motor are maintained monthly, with every trip and usage clearly recorded and traceable from the log sheets.
Fuel consumption and efficiency
Ensure vesselspecific fuel consumption data is accurately maintained.
All documents are the place so that no legal incompliance occurred.
Maintain copies of documents in an orderly manner.
Make sure that the security policy is respected
Project Implementation
Drive project field facilitators to the project site on time for project activity implementations.
Arrange and ensure timely delivery of procured materials to the project sites.
Coordinate deliveries from various suppliers to the office.
Work with Supervisors to stock goods received in the right place and keep a good record of what was received.
Receive instructions and direction from supervisor and attend to other operation tasks assigned.
Safety and Security
Drive carefully and with precaution at all times.
Ensure boats used for project activity implementation are always kept safe and secure.
Make good judgment during road block/accidents and use good negotiation skills to avoid unnecessary confrontations/conflicts.
Compile boat accident reports and submit on time to the supervisor
Management of boat
Boat are washed and cleaned after every field trip done.
Any mechanical fault in the boat are correctly identified and report in a timely manner.
Fuel line for boat, life jackets and other equipment for the project boat are physically checked and safely stored away after every field visit.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Certificate in Secondary Education and hold current marine certificate and license
Must have 2-3 years experience in skipping a boat in the open sea.
Excellent boat-skipping skills
Have basic mechanical repair knowledge about boat engine.
Understand administrative and logistics issues.
Ability to analysis problems and take next course of action.
Proven experience as a team player
Demonstration of Networking and collaboration skill
