Job Description:
World Vision is seeking to recruit a Community Development Facilitator whose priorities for action will be, under the supervision of the Project Manager, to ensure responsive service delivery empowers rural communities to produce and consume a wide variety of nutritious local food; rural households have more resilient livelihoods through investment in women and youth; and that decision makers and stakeholders are receptive to scalable, evidence-based approaches to sustainable agricultural development. The Community Development Facilitator will also work alongside other WVSI staff to ensure that child wellbeing outcomes are met.
The Community Development Facilitator will be responsible for supporting development, planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of project activities. S/he will work under the direction of the Project Manager based in Makira Province. S/he will perform the designated tasks in order to achieve programmatic objectives and demonstrate a quality of excellent work standards that is an example to others.
The Community Development Facilitator will communicate World Vision’s Core values and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Implementation
Community Mobilization and Engagement (community participation in project activities)
Project Monitoring, Learning and Reporting
Knowledge/Qualification
Three to five years experience in Community developmental interventions
Community Development Certificate/Diploma/Degree or 2 -3 years experience as community development facilitator or in related field
Some background in livelihoods and conservation.

Understanding poverty and community empowerment approaches to development
Good communication (local Knowledge)
