WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of BioPro Test Engineer. This is a full time, temporary role.
Perform thorough testing of technology systems, software and procedures to ensure proper operation, freedom from defects and that information systems, products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Develop, maintain, and upgrade test scripts and architectures for application products. Apply specialized technical expertise to solve critical issues and execute projects of high complexity, scope, size and/or risk. Serve as a lead on projects, provide training and guidance to other staff. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.
The work location for this position is 100% virtual/work from home. While the position can be worked from anywhere in the United States, the preferred work hours are on an East Coast schedule.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): 1: Perform complex test engineering activities throughout assigned software life cycle. 2: Design, evaluate and implement test tools, plans, procedures and cases based upon requirements. 3: Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports and metrics. 4: Document test results, analysis reports, logs and metrics. 5: Recommend program improvements or corrections. 6: Provide training and guidance to other staff. Lead and contribute technical expertise to projects. ———————- Scope: Individual contributor with comprehensive technical knowledge in specific area. Ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects. Adapt precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions. ———————-
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: N/A Skills & Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to apply technical expertise to resolve problems. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks efficiently. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be 24-hour on-call during period of major disaster. Travel: Travel may be required. * Combination of candidates education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to descriptions minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted). ———————-
Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

PAY INFORMATION:
The annual salary range for this position is $110K – $125K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
