Employment Specialist St Neots Location: Yew Tree House, St Neots (hybrid working with 1 day per week in the office along with regular travel for community outreach work across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough as required.) About the Role Waythroughs Cambridgeshire Retain Regain Employment Service is looking for a personable, proactive and highly motivated Employment Specialist to join our team supporting people experiencing mental health challenges to find, return to, or remain in work. You will work closely with individuals who are neurodivergent, helping them build confidence and develop practical strategies to achieve their employment goals. Following induction, you will manage a caseload of clients, providing tailored and person-centred employment support. This includes supporting people with job searching, applications, interviews, and workplace challenges, while promoting sustainable employment and recovery. You will also build strong relationships with employers, Job Centres, and community organisations across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to create opportunities and pathways into employment. What Youll Do Manage a caseload of approximately 40 clients following induction Provide person-centred employment support, including job searching, CV writing, applications and interview preparation. Work with individuals to develop SMART action plans based on their skills, experiences and employment goals. Support clients to address workplace challenges, identify reasonable adjustments and create sustainable return-to-work plans. Maintain accurate records, manage workload effectively and build relationships with employers, Job Centres and community partners. To Succeed in This Role, Youll Need to be/have: Personable, proactive and motivated, with a genuine commitment to supporting people into employment. Strong communication and listening skills, able to build trust with people from diverse backgrounds. Able to manage a busy caseload, prioritise workload and work both independently and as part of a team. Experience working with people in areas such as employment services, recruitment, education, HR, support services or social care (or similar). Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office, with good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
