Full Job Description

Thank you for your interest in Compassions Internship Program. We are looking a Legal Intern to join our General Counsel Office this summer in Colorado Springs. Work alongside the team in helping draft and set up contract templates, revise corporate documents, Claims follow-up, Licensing and registration processes, and other project work to contribute to the mission of releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

This is an in-person, full-time internship position based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassions ministry in prayer.

Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christs mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassions Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassions internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.

Uphold and engage in Compassions core Cultural Behaviors .

Current J.D. candidate or law student (2L and 3L students preferred).

Available for the entire internship period: June 1 to August 7, 2026.

Ability to work remotely Monday – Friday from 8-5pm during the duration of the internship.

Legally eligible for employment in the United States (i.e., if an international student, must already have a work or study visa, SSN, etc.).

Experience drafting simple legal documents for identified clients including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts and legal memoranda.

Experience or interest in employment law is a plus.

Knowledge of new and updated laws and regulations.
