Requisitos

Profesionales en Contabilidad, Finanzas o Administracion con experiencia contable.

Maestria en el area financiera o administrativa (deseable).

5+ anos de experiencia en el area contable y conocimiento en area tributaria.

Experiencia dando capacitaciones relacionadas con la educacion financiera y de contabilidad.

Manejo de Microsoft office en nivel intermedio, Excel intermedio-avanzado.

Capacidad de analisis y pensamiento critico.

Habilidades de liderazgo, negociacion y resolucion de problemas.

Orientacion al servicio y trabajo en equipo.

Comunicacion intercultural efectiva.

Inteligencia emocional para establecer buenas relaciones con equipos multidisciplinarios.

Licencia de conducir vigente.

Ingles en nivel intermedio (deseable).

Disponibilidad para viajar y realizar trabajo de campo en un 70% del tiempo de trabajo.

Resumen

Este contador de carrera mantiene el libro mayor de la organizacion con el area de responsabilidad asignada. Ella o el trabaja en estrecha colaboracion con los clientes internos de toda la organizacion para responder a las preguntas financieras y proporcionar asesoramiento sobre la contabilidad adecuada. Este titular es un contribuyente clave a la preparacion de los estados financieros y elabora nuevos informes en respuesta a las necesidades iniciales actuales. Como profesional experimentado, el contador utiliza el conocimiento avanzado de GAAP, de sistemas financieros internos, y de otros estandares de contabilidad para conducir la investigacion y el analisis de la contabilidad, para repasar e interpretar actividad transaccional historica, y para tomar un papel dominante en proceso cercano del mes-final y del ano-fin de ano, para incluir la preparacion o la revision de las conciliaciones de la cuenta. En este nivel de la carrera, el titular es generalmente competente en varias especialidades de las finanzas y puede ser llamado encendido para entrenar o para supervisar el trabajo del personal menor de las estadisticas.

Responsibilities

Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christs mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassions Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassions internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur. Uses independent judgment to serve internal customers, answering financial reporting questions, explaining accounting principles, advising on the proper recording of transactions, and informing others of financial policies and procedures. Partners in problem-solving for both procedural and technical issues. Serves as a subject matter expert on the organizations financial general ledger system, including the chart of accounts, functional allocation, fund balances, segments and other attributes of the system. Maintains monthly/annual financial close processes through preparation and/or review of key journal entries and account reconciliations, analyzes financial activity for errors or misclassifications and corrects as needed. Also prepares and distributes financial statement reports and provides additional information related to reports for appropriate actions and decision-making. Attends training and/or accesses other means to maintain a level of knowledge and/or credentialing sufficient to perform all the requirements of this position. Makes use of appropriate opportunities to teach other team members and internal clients about accounting concepts and their organizational application. May be called on to coach or oversee the work of junior accounting staff, as well as coordinate tasks, as needed, with other team members.
