Process Technician

Tiverton HSSU Hub | Sterile Services | Permanent | Full time

Up to 24,358.47 per annum, dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm and 2pm -10pm, alternating shifts every week. Weekends will be offered as overtime or TOIL depending on workloads. Between 7pm and 7am hours are paid at 30% enhancement rate, and weekends at 20%. Bank Holidays paid as double time if required with time back in lieu.

As a Process Technician at our Tiverton HSSU Hub, youll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. Youre organised with good communication skills and ideally, youre able to show evidence of sterile services training.

As a Process Technician, you will:

Process Medical instruments for surgical operations

Learn the importance of sterile instruments from start to finish

Help to ensure all instruments are in good working order and learn all their names and uses

Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults

Maintain a clean and tidy work environment

Take action to resolve any problems

Escalate issues where necessary

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures

Work with a highly skilled team

Full training given

Basic computer skills are vital to the role
