Full Job Description

The Role:

As an administrator and receptionist volunteer, you will provide a welcoming, organised and efficient front-line service. This role supports day-to-day operations through reception duties, administrative support, resource management, and engagement with people accessing the service, whil st ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Tasks may include:

Meet and greet people accessing the service, including offering peer/listening support, making coffees etc

Directing people to meetings and ensuring people sign in and out

Check people into appointments through communication with Recovery Coordinators , either in person or Teams

Managing incoming and outgoing post

Replenish displays, leaflets and resources

Supporting colleagues with c opying, printing, scanning, and laminating as required

Assisting with the administration and resources for group activities, training etc

Promoting the service

Liaising with staff and people accessing the service to gain feedback which helps inform decisions, this may involve encouraging people to complete feedback forms

Adhering to policies such as safeguarding, information governance, risk management and health and safety

Help keep waiting areas clean and tidy and the library stocked

Volunteers will be provided with Naloxone and BBV training, enabling those who feel confident to offer further support, including assisting with BBV testing within the service.

The team would appreciate a minimum of 4 hours in any of the following Day s /Times: Monday to Friday: 9: 15 am to 5. 15 pm

It would be desirable, but not essential, for volunteers to have the following :

Good understanding of drugs and alcohol issues

Experience in a similar role

Confidence to greet and speak to people, with excellent verbal communication skills

Confident IT skills aside from any IT skills required for the role, some of our mandatory training is done online through eLearning modules

Able to work as part of a team, on own initiative and to instruction
