Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the programme shall, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in the final academic year of the first university degree programme (minimum Bachelors level or equivalent); or b) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or c) Have graduated with a university degree (Bachelors or Masters equivalent) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
  • Language: Good working knowledge of English, other UN languages are a bonus..
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the work of the Office. Skills

  • Conduct research and policy analysis on trade and international development issues in ITC priority areas, with a focus on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
  • Monitor and report on intergovernmental meetings related to trade, entrepreneurship, green and resilient recovery, womens economic empowerment, and other ITC-relevant topics.
  • Support ITCs engagement with Permanent Missions by analyzing country information and identifying development programme activities aligned with ITC strategic priorities.
  • Draft and contribute to talking points, meeting notes, reports, and other written materials related to ITCs priority areas.
  • Provide administrative and communications support to the ITC Office to the United Nations.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of events.
