Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Additional technical/vocational qualifications in logistics, warehousing and/or transportation are desirable..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Language: For this job opening, English is required.
  • Language: Hebrew and Arabic are required.

  • Experience: At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in movement operations acquired through commercial air/sea/road/rail operations, commercial freight forwarding, warehousing, supply chain management, military logistics or civilian logistics working environments is required

  • Experience dealing with National authorities or customs authorities is desirable.
  • Experience in an international organization such as the United Nations is desirable.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and inventory control systems is desirable.
  • Experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Umoja, SAP or equivalent, is required.
  • 2 years of experience operating material handling equipment is desirable.
