Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Should be computer literate in standard software applications;
- Academic Qualifications: Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and
- Fluency oral and written in English is required.
- Language: Knowledge of another UN language is desirable..
Skills
- Prepares inputs and qualitative and quantitative analyses for technical studies and research on the interlinkages between climate change and green and sustainable trade, particularly research with a view to identifying the impact of trade-related measures in developing countries and the international cooperation opportunities on trade and climate change
- Prepares briefing notes and inputs for speeches, PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and other analytical material on trade, climate change, and sustainable development.
- Prepares short news and communication items and articles on relevant projects and activities by the Trade, Environment, Climate Change and Sustainable Development Branch Meeting support:
- Follows intergovernmental and other meetings and prepares minutes, summary reports, list of participants, evaluation forms and similar material.
- Support the preparation of concept notes for UNCTAD events and UN intergovernmental processes, particularly, WTO MC14 and UNFCCC processes.
- Assists in the organisation and servicing of online meetings, seminars, panels, etc., including identifying and contacting speakers, Technical cooperation/Capacity building:
