Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Should be computer literate in standard software applications;
- Academic Qualifications: Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship..
- Assist in providing substantive support for the preparation of documents (e.g. presentations) required for the above CSTD annual session and the Working Group on Data Governance.
- Supporting other activities of the section, as required. To work remotely, the applicant shall have full access to a computer with a modern browser to run the latest version of Office 365 applications, which will allow him/her to perform the tasks within the scope of the internship. The computer must have basic IT security best practices implemented. At a minimum, the applicant should have:
Skills
- Participation in meetings (online or in person) with the supervisor and team.
- Assisting in the organization and servicing of the 29th annual session of the CSTD, scheduled for 20 to 24 April, 2026, and the meetings of the Working Group on Data Governance to be held.
- assist in conducting quantitative and qualitative background research, such as compiling data and information on technology and innovation trends related to sustainable development and preparing charts or graphs.
- Installed on their computer the latest version of the Microsoft Windows operating system, software and security updates as soon as they are issued.
- Enabled the built-in software firewall that comes with the computer’s operating software.
