Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
- Academic Qualifications: However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required such as international relations, journalism, law, or international politics.
- Academic Qualifications: Is your field of study one of the above, or another closely related field? Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelors or equivalent), masters or Ph.D. programme or equivalent, or have completed a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. programme.
- Academic Qualifications: Do you meet any of the these criteria? If yes, please indicate which one and attach proof to the application.

Skills
- The International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM) was established to assist in the investigation and prosecution of persons responsible for the most serious crimes under international law committed in the Syrian Arab Republic since March 2011.
- This internship is located within the Information Systems Management Section.
- The objectives of the internship are to: – Support with tasks related to internet research. – Research methodologies and synthesize relevant literature related to issues of interest. – Assist with tasks relating to information governance.
- The intern will be responsible for supporting ISMS on issues of information management, and in particular, internet research.
- Assignments will not involve any work directly with evidentiary material in the IIIMs Central Repository of Information and Evidence.
- A IIIM internship is unpaid and full time (40 hours).
