Job Summary

This consultancy provides an opportunity to contribute specialized expertise to Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia’s mission in international cooperation and sustainable development. Working in Lebanon, you will apply your professional skills to address complex challenges in international cooperation and sustainable development and support the organization’s programmatic objectives. Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: An advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in clinical Psychology, clinical Psychiatry with clinical license to provide psychological counseling and/ or psychotherapy is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Additional training or certification is also required in a broad range of related fields, such as alcohol/substance abuse, stress management, traumatic stress, cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Academic Qualifications: All candidates must submit a copy of the required educational degree.
  • Academic Qualifications: Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
  • Academic Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in psychosocial occupational health and critical incident management is required, of which three should be at the international level.
  • Academic Qualifications: Experience with international communities and in Employee Assistance Program or Organizational Intervention is desirable..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA.
  • Language: For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Language: Note: Fluency equals a rating of fluent in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and Knowledge of equals a rating of confident in two of the four areas..

Skills

  • Provides individual and group counseling sessions (sessions may also be provided to dependents during crisis).
  • Organizes and conducts training sessions on stress prevention and stress related issues.
