The Latino Student Fund (LSF) is hiring a dedicated and bilingual coordinator to lead our Listo and Listo Rapido College Prep programs. Listo supports high school students as they navigate their college and career pathways, creating a safe and encouraging space where young people can thrive academically and personally.

The Coordinator will oversee the LSF’s two Listo programs at DCPS high schools and support LSFs growing alumni network. This role works closely with students, mentors, school partners, and families while helping deliver culturally responsive programming.

This is a full-time, year-round position with regular hours from 9:30 am- 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends are required for special events. The coordinator splits time between school sites and the LSF office.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively recruit for and lead after-school program sessions in Spanish and English for daily groups of 1520 high school juniors and seniors
  • Provide individualized advising on college applications, financial aid, scholarships, and postsecondary planning
  • Create a welcoming, supportive environment for undocumented youth, recent arrivals, and first-generation students
  • Collaborate with school-based teams and LSF staff to connect students with needed resources
  • Support the Programs Manager in developing curriculum, workshops, and educational materials in both Spanish and English
  • Manage mentor engagement, including communication with mentor-student pairs and tracking progress
  • Administer bilingual pre- and post-assessments, maintain accurate attendance, and track student outcomes
  • Oversee logistics for annual events such as Career Days, out-of-state college visits, and the LSF College Fair
  • Lead three one-week summer sessions for 2025 students focused on intensive college preparation
  • Coordinate communication, virtual events, and engagement opportunities for LSFs alumni program
  • Maintain student data and records through LSF databases and program management tools

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, written and spoken
  • At least one to two years of experience working with high school youth in an after-school, nonprofit, or school setting (two or more preferred)
  • Experience supporting immigrant, multicultural, or multilingual communities
  • Comfort facilitating workshops and leading groups in Spanish and English
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and stay calm during busy program periods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with CRM or data systems is a plus
  • Ability to supervise students during off-site activities and field trips
  • Must pass an FBI background check, obtain a TB test, and hold a current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain one
