Position Overview

The Project Coordinator is a cross-functional role, supporting Arlington Thrives programs, internal operations, and community engagement. This role is a great fit for someone who is community-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. This is a full-time, hybrid (40 hours per week) position reporting to the Director of Operations.

What You Will Do

Program Support

  • Support day-to-day operations across early childhood, community navigation, and resilience programs
  • Assist families with applications, documentation, and access to services
  • Coordinate logistics for trainings, events, and program activities

Community Engagement

  • Represent Arlington Thrive at community events and outreach activities
  • Support partnerships with community organizations and volunteers
  • Help recruit and coordinate volunteers for programs

Administrative & Data Support

  • Maintain and improve data tracking systems and processes
  • Support program documentation, reporting, payments, and basic data entry
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accessibility

Development & Communications Support

  • Assist with grant research and proposal preparation
  • Support communications such as newsletters and partner updates
  • Provide general support to operations and leadership as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associates Degree or High school diploma with extensive experience
  • Organized and detail orientated; able to manage multiple tasks and follow through
  • Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (or similar tools)
  • Experience with data entry or administrative support
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; comfortable asking for support when needed
  • Comfortable representing Arlington Thrive in community spaces and events

Helpful but not required:

  • Experience working with families, community-based organizations, or social services
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Lived experience navigating childcare, financial assistance, or community support systems
  • Interest in learning basic research and data analysis skills

Salary

The hourly range for this position is: $24 – $26 per hour
