Job Summary
This consultancy provides an opportunity to contribute specialized expertise to United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute’s mission in international cooperation and sustainable development. Working in Italy, you will apply your professional skills to address complex challenges in international cooperation and sustainable development and support the organization’s programmatic objectives. This role offers the flexibility of consultancy work while contributing to meaningful international development outcomes with global impact.

Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: An advanced University degree (Master or equivalent) in political science, international relations, international development, criminal law, criminology, or related fields is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Work experience is not required for fellows with a Master’s degree in the required field.
- Academic Qualifications: Previous experience academic, professional, or volunteer-related in primary data collection on security, conflict analysis, terrorism and/or organized crime through qualitative and/or quantitative methods (surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews) and analytical outputs production is desirable.
- Academic Qualifications: Experience in translating research findings into awareness and outreach initiatives tailored to the beneficiaries needs, language and priorities, including through social media content, workshop toolkits, and multilingual communication materials is also desirable.
- Academic Qualifications: Experience in synthesizing complex research findings into actionable policy recommendations or guidance documents for institutional actors (e.g., law enforcement, judiciary, financial intelligence units) is also desirable.
- Academic Qualifications: Experience in engaging and maintaining communication with a varied range of stakeholders, including civil society actors and/or governmental institutions, is desirable.
- Academic Qualifications: Previous relevant experience with the United Nations or similar large international organizations and/or in law enforcement is desirable..
- Fluency in English and French is required..
- Perform other project-related duties as required.

- Draft background documents, talking points, presentations, and outreach materials.
- Assist with empowerment actions among civil society actors to develop good practices to improve community resilience.
- Participate in coordination meetings and assist in workshops preparation.
