NHS Administrator

Our Administration department currently has an opportunity for an NHS Administrator. To oversee and co-ordinate all processes that are required by the NHS and Nuffield to comply underpin and support the delivery of all NHS business undertaken.
As an NHS Administrator you will:
Use end-to-end processes within the hospital to manage all NHS business, ensuring that all staff within the hospital are properly undertaking their parts of these processes.
Understand and promote any system changes.
Manage and interpret data and information as required.
Prepare standard and adhoc reports as required.
Assist and be aware of the initial bookings process on receipt of NHS notes.
Ensure that all data capture is up to date and accurate in support of the monthly billing process.
Assist with responses to commissioners regarding challenges
To succeed as an NHS Administrator you will need:
Good IT and keyboard skills
Good communication/interpersonal skills
Good organization and analytical skills
Experience of working in a customer facing environment
Knowledge and understanding of clinical terminology
Understanding of NHS pathways in the independent sector
Knowledge of the prior approval and individual funding request processes
An understanding of Referral To Treatment times
A flexible approach to supporting where required within the administration team

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Womens Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. So we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with specialty outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
