The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a motivated and analytically-minded student to join our Data and Analytics team. This position will be located onsite in El Segundo, California.

What Youll Be Doing

This role offers hands-on experience in enterprise data integration, business intelligence, and reporting using leading SAP technologies. You will provide support for the development and maintenance of business reporting solutions that leverage data from SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and SAP Fieldglass platforms.

Data Integration & Development

Assist in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and Fieldglass using APIs and web services

Support the development and testing of API integrations to connect multiple data sources

Help maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality across reporting systems

Document API endpoints, data flows, and integration processes

Business Reporting & Analytics

Create and maintain business reports and dashboards using data from enterprise systems

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements

Assist in developing KPIs and metrics for procurement, finance, and workforce management

Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from various business units

Technical Support

Troubleshoot data discrepancies and integration issues

Participate in testing new features and reporting enhancements

Maintain documentation for reports, data models, and technical processes

Support the team with data validation and quality assurance activities

Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed

Training and mentorship will be provided

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or similar program

Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship.

Minimum of Junior class standing completed by internship start date

Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts

Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred)

Understanding of REST APIs and web services fundamentals

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation

Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

Previous internship or coursework involving SAP products (S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass)

Experience with API development or integration projects

Knowledge of JSON, XML, and data interchange formats

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Understanding of procurement, finance, or HR business processes

Experience with version control systems (Git)

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

GPA of 3.5 or higher

Active security clearance
