Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is required.
- Academic Qualifications: A minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, contract administration. is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Experience using ERP systems such as Umoja is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Experience of Three (3) years in a UN peacekeeping mission is desirable CIPS Level 6 certificate is required Prince 2 Practitioner certification is required.
- Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
- Language: For the position advertised, fluency in English oral and written is required..
Skills
- Assist in the procurement of goods, works, and services, including preparation, issuance, and administration of solicitation documents (RFQs, RFOs, RFPs).
- Receive, review, process requisitions and procurement requests to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Coordinate bid receipt, opening, evaluation processes, and prepare comparative statements and draft recommendations for award.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, task orders, and amendments in the relevant ERP system (e.g. Umoja).
- Liaise with requisitioners, technical units, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of procurement actions.
- Monitor contract implementation, delivery timelines, and vendor performance, and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Support contract administration activities, including extensions, amendments, and closure of procurement cases.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure proper filing, archiving, and uploading of documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement reports, statistics, and responses to audit or management queries.
- Provide guidance to end users on procurement procedures and compliance requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
