Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminology, law, international security, international relations, political science, or other relevant discipline, is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Academic Qualifications: A first-level university degree and no experience will be accepted for candidates who have passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP), the United Nations National Competitive Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P)..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience on international projects related to the prevention of online sexual exploitation and abuse of children OR the successful completion of the Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP), the United Nations National Competitive Recruitment Examination (NCRE) or the General Service to Professional Examination (G to P) is required.
  • Experience: Work experience in organising capacity building activities and training for law enforcement agencies combating online sexual exploitation and abuse of children is desirable.
  • Experience: Work experience with law enforcement agencies and the development of tailored guidance and recommendations in the field of child protection or online sexual exploitation and abuse of children is desirable.
