Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: To qualify for the United Nations Secretariat internship programme, applicants must, at the time of submission, be a graduate or enrolled in a graduate school programme (i.e.
  • Academic Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent degree, or higher) or, be a graduate or enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme (i.e.
  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree) preferably in the area of information and telecommunication technology, computer science, digital forensic science, data science, analytics, statistics, information management or a related field, OR have graduated with a university degree as defined above AND, if selected, must commence the internship on the date specified in the Acceptance letter.

Skills

  • This announcement broadcasts international internship assignments based in the Information System and Digital Support Section (ISDSS) located in the Human Rights Inquiries Branch (HRIB), which oversees the operationalization and provides support to all mandated human rights investigations relating to information management, digital forensics, online open-source investigation, information security and archiving.
  • The Human Rights Inquires Branch comprises the Investigation Support Section; the Accountability and Judicial Cooperation Section; the Information System and Digital Support Section; the Administrative Support Unit.
  • Based in Geneva, Switzerland, under the general guidance of the Head of the Branch, the intern will work in coordination with Information System and Digital Support Section to support projects relating to digital evidence handling and online open source investigation and reports to the respective Coordinator/Information Management Officer in the area of assignment.
