Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in Asian Studies, conflict or security studies, information management, international criminal law, social or political science or related fields is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Language: For this job opening, English is required.
  • Language: Either Rohingya or Burmese is required.
  • Language: Either Haka-Chin or Kachin or Rakhine or Shan is desirable.
  • Language: The table below shows the minimum required level for each skill in these languages, according to the UN Language Framework (please consult https://languages.un.org for details).
  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience in analysis on complex political, military, paramilitary and other related groups’ activities involving serious international crimes, including war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, is required.
