Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelors level or equivalent). (OFFICIAL WRITTEN PROOF FROM THE UNIVERSITY SUPPORTING ONE OF THE ABOVE POSSIBILITIES MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE INSPIRA APPLICATION);
- Academic Qualifications: Be computer literate in standard software applications;
- Academic Qualifications: Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and
- Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations.
- Language: For this Internship, fluency in oral and written English is required.
- Fluency in oral and written German is required.
- Language: Knowledge of a UNIS client country language (Hungarian, Slovak, Slovene) is an additional asset..

- It aims to promote an informed understanding of the work and goals of the United Nations in these countries by reaching out to media, government, academia, schools, and civil society organizations.
- The Internship position is located in the News and Media Unit, United Nations Information Service UNIS, Vienna (Austria).
- The internship is UNPAID and interns work five days per week (full time – 40 hours)” with the envisaged starting date 2 March 2026 and is for a 6-month period.
