This consultancy provides an opportunity to contribute specialized expertise to United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia’s mission in international cooperation and sustainable development. Working in Colombia, you will apply your professional skills to address complex challenges in international cooperation and sustainable development and support the organization’s programmatic objectives. This role offers the flexibility of consultancy work while contributing to meaningful international development outcomes with global impact.

Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent diploma is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Training or certificates in social communication, Journalism, multimedia, audiovisual or related areas is required.
- Academic Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in multimedia production and editing, communication projects or related field is required.
- Academic Qualifications: The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) for candidates who possess a first level university degree or higher.
- Academic Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of photography, video, animation, and proficiency in Adobe Suite platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Audition), as well as any other 2D and 3D content editing tools are required.
- Academic Qualifications: Experience in projects and videos with national public and private organizations for education campaigns is desirable.
- Academic Qualifications: Advanced professional photography and video production is desirable.
- Academic Qualifications: Training or certificates in social communication, Journalism, multimedia, audiovisual or related areas is required..
- Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
- Language: For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written Spanish and English is required.
Skills
- Manage pre-production, production, and post-production of audiovisual and multimedia pieces for the Strategic Communications and Public Information Office.
- Develop animations, motion graphics (After Effects), and graphic design support for digital pieces.
- Carry out the photographic and audiovisual production of events organized by the Mission or in which the Mission participates.
- Monitor news related to the Mission’s mandates and areas of operation daily.
- Provide support in the translation (Spanish – English) of audiovisual materials.
- Provide support as webmaster for uploading content.
- Provide support to the creation of the quarterly internal newsletter.
- Updating photo platforms and other networks with material from regional offices.
- Provide support to regional, subregional, and local teams on matters related to this role.
