Job Summary

Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: a.
- Academic Qualifications: Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), b.
- Academic Qualifications: Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent), c.
- Academic Qualifications: Have graduated with Bachelor’s degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
- Academic Qualifications: Be computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Academic Qualifications: Have demonstrated a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
- Academic Qualifications: Preferred areas of study: Currently enrolled in a graduate degree programme or have graduated from a Bachelor program from a recognized institution in related fields Mass communication, journalism, economics, literature, political science, business administration, urban planners, and any relevant social science.
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
- Academic Qualifications: However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Masters or Ph.D.
Skills
- Assist in the preparation of briefs, presentations, concept notes, and background materials for meetings, consultations, and missions.
- Support data gathering, desk research, and consolidation of information for programme activities.
- Assist in reviewing project materials, best practices, and knowledge products.
- Conduct research on urban governance, sustainable development, policy issues, and thematic priorities of UN-Habitat.
- Compile international, regional, and local best practices to support the development of knowledge products and programme tools.
- Support documentation of lessons learned, field results, and project activities. 3. Coordination & Event Support
- Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, field visits, consultative meetings, and other programme events.
- Support logistical arrangements, agendas, invitations, and follow-up documentation. 4. Communication & Visibility
- Draft communication content and support updates for UN-Habitat Egypts social media platforms.
- Assist with documenting activities, taking photos, preparing posts, and supporting visibility materials.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and outreach efforts. 5. General Office Support
- Support preparation of periodic reports, including inputs to UN Country Team reporting frameworks such as the UNSDCF.
