Skills
- This internship is located within the Office of the Chief of Staff in the United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
- The incumbent will report directly to the Mission Planning Officer within the Office of the Chief of Staff.
- The objective of this internship is to contribute directly to discharging the responsibilities of the Office of the Chief of Staff among which include 1.
- Effective functioning of mission-wide integrated procedures and systems for information analysis and management. 2.
- Enhance mission strategic and operational planning.
- More specifically, the intern will support the preparation of different plans for the next financial year, and contribute towards the Missions performance monitoring, specifically in relation to operational impact assessments.
- The start date for the internship will be in June 2026.
- The duration of the internship will be for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of renewal for a further 3 months.
- The intern will also contribute towards other areas of work including strengthening the link between the Missions programmatic activities and CPAS, and other data collection tasks.
- Develop an understanding/some knowledge of how the UN plans and monitors the implementation of its mandate. 2.
- Develop an understanding of information/data management systems in a United Nations peacekeeping operation.
- Duties include: Contribution towards the preparation of different draft plans for the next financial year including: 1.

- Work with the Mission Planning Officer to finalize the other sections of the draft document for 2027-

- Assist with the collection and review of all final project reports of the Mission
- s programmatic activities which were implemented in FY 2025-26 and produce a summary of the main achievements.
- Assist with the finalization of the annual performance report of the RBB outputs and indicators.

- Assist with the finalization of the programmatic activities
- Assist with clearing the backlog of Recommendations within the Mission
- s Comprehensive Planning and Performance Assessment System by compiling status updates on the implementation of Recommendations.
- Assist with monitoring the implementation of CPAS Impact and Outcome Indicators. Other tasks
- Work with relevant offices with the goal of assisting with the collection and disaggregation of pertinent data from the Mission
- Assist with reviewing relevant guidelines and SOPs by performing background research to provide the team with possible solutions.
