Skills

• This internship is located within the Office of the Chief of Staff in the United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
• The incumbent will report directly to the Mission Planning Officer within the Office of the Chief of Staff.
• The objective of this internship is to contribute directly to discharging the responsibilities of the Office of the Chief of Staff among which include 1.
• Effective functioning of mission-wide integrated procedures and systems for information analysis and management. 2.
• Enhance mission strategic and operational planning.
• More specifically, the intern will support the preparation of different plans for the next financial year, and contribute towards the Missions performance monitoring, specifically in relation to operational impact assessments.
• The start date for the internship will be in June 2026.
• The duration of the internship will be for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of renewal for a further 3 months.
• The intern will also contribute towards other areas of work including strengthening the link between the Missions programmatic activities and CPAS, and other data collection tasks.
• Develop an understanding/some knowledge of how the UN plans and monitors the implementation of its mandate. 2.
• Develop an understanding of information/data management systems in a United Nations peacekeeping operation.
