Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelors degree or equivalent).
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must be computer literate and have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams.
- Academic Qualifications: The successful applicant must be detail oriented, diligent, and deliver high-quality documents.
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study in business administration, programme management, economics, political science, international relations, public administration, evaluation or a related field is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Expertise with data collection and visualization tools will be an advantage.
- Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
- Language: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset.
- Language: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat..
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills
- Support the review of DESAs proposed programme plan for 2027 by the Committee for Programme and Coordination and other Committees;
- Contribute to the drafting and reviewing of monitoring and evaluation reports, including evaluations and audits conducted by oversight bodies;
- Assist in data collection, review and analysis of responses to evaluations and audits conducted by oversight bodies;
- Support the follow-up to the implementation of findings and recommendations of internal and external evaluations;
- Research, analyze and present information gathered from diverse sources on economic, social and sustainable development topics;
