Job Summary

This Programme Management Officer position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate critical programmes within Department of Peace Operations’s international cooperation and sustainable development portfolio. Based in United States, you will oversee programme implementation, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results that advance the organization’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, and coordination with government partners, civil society, and other UN agencies. Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent), preferably in political science, international relations, law, human rights, public administration or related fields.
  • Academic Qualifications: A first level university degree, together with two additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advance degree..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

  • Experience: Work experience in one or more areas related to Rule of Law areas of work is desirable One year or more of experience in a peace operation or other relevant field operation is desirable Strategic planning and co-ordination experience is desirable..
