Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: The basic education required is HS Diploma.
  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelors degree or equivalent).
  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work.experience.
  • Academic Qualifications: However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelors, Masters or PH.D.
  • Academic Qualifications: Do you meet any of the above criteria? If yes, please indicate which one and attach proof to the application.

  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.

Skills

  • Provide support to the team in organizing UN-SPIDER conferences, events and workshops.
  • Assist in the planning for training activities and technical advisory missions.
  • Provide assistance in formatting documents such as concept notes, agenda, background papers, badges etc.
  • GIS/Remote sensing research.
  • Support with content and maintenance of the UN-SPIDER Knowledge Portal.
  • Support with ongoing communication materials such as publications, news stories, user stories, brochures etc.
