This consultancy provides an opportunity to contribute specialized expertise to United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan – created by GA Resolution 1996 (2011)’s mission in international cooperation and sustainable development. Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelors degree with equivalent experience, in Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, International Development, Social Science or related field is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years experience in the field of teaching or training, or related field is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Experience providing technical support to, organizing, and delivering trainings and professional development programmes is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Experience working with international organizations, particularly within the UN system, is desirable..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Language: For this consultancy, fluency in both oral and written English is required.
  • Language: Knowledge of Arabic is desirable..

Skills

  • Assist with conduct of assessments to identify specific training needs of individuals or teams within the NEC, and other election-related institutions or organizations.
  • Assist with creation of comprehensive training plans, including objectives, content, delivery methods, and evaluation strategies. Curriculum Development and Materials:
  • Assist with development of training materials, including presentations, handouts, exercises, and assessments.
  • Asist with tailoring training materials to meet the specific needs of diverse audiences and learning styles.
  • Assist with the identification and development of online resources, e-learning modules, and other tools to support ongoing learning and development initiatives associated with electoral assistance. Training Delivery and Facilitation:
  • Support training facilitators during in-person and virtual training sessions and workshops.
  • Manage training logistics, attendance and materials.
  • Offer technical assistance and guidance to participants during and after training Evaluation and Reporting:
  • Assess the effectiveness of training and capacity building programs through pre- and post-training assessments, participant feedback, and other evaluation methods.
  • Assist in documenting training activities and outcomes.
  • Support with preparation of reports, on training and capacity building activities. Collaboration and Partnerships
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the NEC, government agencies, CSOs, and other partners.
