Qualifications

  • A university degree from a recognized university-level academic institution, preferably in social sciences, political affairs, international relations, law or a related field
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English and Arabic are required. The table below shows the minimum required level for each skill in these languages, according to the UN Language Framework (please consult https://languages.un.org for details).   • At least four years of relevant experience, preferably in protection, human rights, humanitarian relief emergency operations or other related disciplines is required. – Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of humanitarian protection and humanitarian principles policies and approaches is required. – Experience in driving to field locations and possession of valid driving license in the West Bank is required -Please confirm if you live/ reside in West Bank or Jerusalem? And if you have West Bank or Jerusalem ID. please to mention its number down, as it is desirable. Do you have any current or past affiliations with non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, political organizations, military, or have/are engaged in activities or have made any public statements, that could be seen to impact your neutrality, objectivity or independence in the performanceof your duties for the UN / UNRWA? if yes please explain as it is required.
