Qualifications
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent such as a senior command and staff college qualification) in security management or business administration, political/social/military science, or international relations with focus on security management. A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience in military, police or security management may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A first-level university degree may be substituted with a diploma from a national police or military academy resulting in an appointment as a Commissioned Officer (i.e. Lieutenant / Inspector or equivalent), in combination with four additional years of qualifying experience in military, police or security management, maybe accepted in lieu of a first level university degree.

- A minimum of five (5) years with an advanced university degree (seven years with a first level university degree) of progressively responsible experience in the military, police or security management is required. At least two (2) years in security operations is required. At least one (01) years’ experience in UN security operations at international level and in a conflict or post-conflict environment is required. Experience of security risk management within the United Nations Security Management System (inclusive of peacekeeping, political missions, and UN agencies, funds, and programs) or similar international organization or non-governmental organization in a field-based environment is desirable.
