Job Summary
This Programme Management Officer position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate critical programmes within Syria International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism’s international cooperation and sustainable development portfolio. Based in Switzerland, you will oversee programme implementation, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results that advance the organization’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, and coordination with government partners, civil society, and other UN agencies. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with strong leadership skills, programme management expertise, and a commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection.

Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent) in social or political science, business administration, management, economics, international relations or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an advantage.
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required. Either French or Arabic is desirable. - A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. A minimum of five years of experience in donor relations and resource mobilization is required. Experience working in the area of accountability (rule of law, transitional justice, human rights, or related) is required. Experience in resource mobilization in the Syrian context is required. Experience in developing partnerships with non-traditional donors (e.g. foundations, private sector entities, individuals) is desirable. Two years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
