Job Summary

This Programme Management Officer position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate critical programmes within United Nations Conference on Trade and Development’s international cooperation and sustainable development portfolio. Based in Switzerland, you will oversee programme implementation, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results that advance the organization’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, and coordination with government partners, civil society, and other UN agencies. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with strong leadership skills, programme management expertise, and a commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection.

Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English and French are required. Either Arabic or Chinese (Mandarin) or Spanish or Russian is desirable.   • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. At least five (5) years of experience developing or implementing inter-agency initiatives is desirable. Experience supporting trade policy development in e-commerce and the digital economy is desirable.
