Qualifications

  • An advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent) in auditing, accounting, international relations, public administration, policy management, communications, business or public administration, or related discipline, is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required.   • A minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in auditing, accounting, intergovernmental affairs, or related area is required. Experience in multi-stakeholder coordination at senior levels at the United Nations or similar international Organization is required. Experience with the implementation of audit policies or advising on such implementation, or serving in or advising audit committees on established policies and practices in the United Nations or similar international organization is required. Experience supervising a team is required. Experience in a major public sector organization or within the United Nations system is desirable. Experience with the programmes of other international organizations, such as the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Children’s Fund, etc. is desirable. Experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
