Purpose of Position: The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and

supervision of the residents served in the transitional and senior PSH

programs.

Responsible to:New Transitions Program Manager

Summary of Duties:Responsibilities to include but

not limited to the following:

  • Establish positive rapport with the residents we serve while maintaining
  • professional boundaries.
  • Assists residents as necessary in a manner that includes respect, honesty,

non-judgment and empathy.

  • Monitors resident activities and compliance with program rules. Reports concerns to
  • case manager.
  • Conducts checks in all resident clusters from 10:00pm-7:00am.
  • Oversees wake-up routines of residents. Ensures the facility is secure at all
  • times. Reports any facility concerns to the program manager.
  • Warms up and serves prepared meals utilizing COVID-19 precautions.
  • Ensures residents adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Collects urine samples of residents as requested by case manager; completes
  • necessary paperwork for logging.
  • Completes daily entries into log book; provides additional information related to
  • residents needs or concerns to the case manager.
  • Participates in all required training.
  • Serves as a positive role model for program participants by demonstrating good work
  • ethics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

This position does not supervise any other position

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Regular internal contact with NEBW staff

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Education:High School Diploma or GED

Experience:At least two recent years experience working in shelters or residential programs

Knowledge:Ability to communicate effectively

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Considerable concentration
  • Constant interruptions
  • Moderate noise level
  • Moderate travel to meetings and other agencies
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to navigate steps throughout tour of duty
