Job title:Specialized Energy Advisor and Educator

Hours:5 hours/week, flexible scheduling with some evenings and weekends

Salary:$52,000 annually

Benefits:

Option to work remotely (except when your physical presence is required for meetings and events) or at our physical office; 1 day in office work is required per week in downtown Albany, more during onboarding and training.,

Position Overview:CDCE is hiring a Specialized Energy Advisor. This Advisor will connect consumers to clean energy technologies as part of a state-wide NYSERDA-funded Regional Clean Energy Hub program, with a special focus on increasing the adoption of these technologies inNYSERDA-designated Disadvantaged Communities (DACs). The Energy Advisor will learn to serve all residential clients, but will also specialize in assisting commercial, non-profit and multifamily building owners, managers and tenants. Along with other team members, the Energy Advisor will be responsible for aspects of developing and managing the initiatives outlined below. Specific tasks will include vetting installers, identifying financing options, providing technical assistance, and contributing to public outreach, education, and marketing activities.

This position is aligned with the Capital Region Clean Energy Hub, a regional effort to increase consumer awareness and uptake of clean energy products, technologies, and opportunities.
