Tutor Small Group Instruction (K12 | LAUSD Schools)

Southeast Community Foundation is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to providesmall-group tutoringto K12 students in LAUSD schools multiple times per week. This is an excellent opportunity forcertified teachers, college graduates, retired teachers, substitute teachers, and paraprofessionals.

Job Details

  • Pay:$25$31 per hour (DOE)
  • Schedule:Between 1:00 PM 6:00 PM
  • Locations:Vernon, El Sereno, and Arlington Heights, CA
  • Status:Part-time
  • Program Dates:Immediate start for training. Tutoring from February through mid-May

Qualifications

  • BA or BS required(Teaching credential preferred)
  • Ability to confidently teachup to 12th grade, specificallyMath and ELA
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience inELA and Mathstrongly preferred
  • Experience in planning and delivering instruction tosmall groupspreferred
  • Must have or be able to obtainTB clearanceand pass aLiveScan background check(costs covered by SCF)
  • Bilingual Spanish/Englishpreferred
  • Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for students
