The Opportunity

We seek aStaff Accountantwho is energized by the intersection offinance, environmental sustainability, and cross-border cooperation. Youll lead day-to-day accounting and partner closely with our Director of Finance & Administration to deliver timely reporting, compliant tracking of donorrestricted funds, and strong budgeting/forecasting that enables program growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain thegeneral ledger, preparemonthly financial statements, and completebank/investmentreconciliations
  • ManageA/P, credit card reconciliations, anddonorrestricted fundsdocumentation (compliance with U.S. regulations)
  • ReconcileDonorPerfectand other CRM data to the G/L; trace transactions for donor inquiries
  • Supportbudget developmentfor departments, programs, and events; complete closeouts and variance reviews
  • Implement process improvements that strengthen transparency, controls, and efficiency
  • Schedule & Travel:Core hours inET; occasional early meetings with Israelbased colleagues;~1 weekend/yearfor the FAI Board Meeting

What You Bring

  • 3+ yearsofnonprofit accountingexperience (G/L, reconciliations, financial reporting)
  • Proficiency inQuickBooks OnlineandExcel(pivot tables, lookups)
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Detail-oriented, ethical, and collaborative communicator
  • U.S. work authorization; ability to be onsite in Newton Centre3+ days/week
