DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Development Manager serves a vital role in advancing Amnions life-affirming mission. This position

is responsible for strengthening Amnions financial foundation by building meaningful relationships with

those who share our commitment to serving women and families. The Development Manager engages

individual donors, churches, and community partners; nurtures and equips a growing base of ministry

volunteers; and leads the planning and execution of Amnions fundraising events ensuring that every

effort reflects the heart of our mission and extends the reach of our work.

This is a full-time position and reports to Amnions Executive Director.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expand the financial base of Amnions support for ministry effectiveness.
  • Maintain contact with donors and supporting organizations on a regular basis and with a variety

of outreach strategies.

  • Participate with church and community partners as an ambassador of Amnions mission,

attending events, providing resources, and making onsite presentations.

  • Develop and manage volunteer support for all mailings, special events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Provide all oversight and direction for fundraising activities and events to reach established goals.
  • Identify and apply for suitable grant and foundation funding sources.
  • Seek to promote and support the overall mission of Amnion by being a strong member of the

team and contributing to the success of Amnion staff and volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Personal commitment to Amnions Statement of Faith, Mission and core values.
  • Complies with the policies and procedures of Amnion, Standards of Christian Conduct.
  • Maintains a passionate and consistent life-affirming perspective and upholds the Sanctity of Life.
  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Demonstrates the highest professional standards; is dependable, stable and capable of following through on responsibilities and commitments.
  • Previous experience in fundraising, event planning and donor development.
  • Solid experience with digital tools and office software, with an ability to scale and integrate.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and the foundation community.
  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
  • High detail orientation with strong multi-tasking capacity and flexibility.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to work with schedules of donors & others.
  • Strong goal orientation and a make it happen person who respects and honors others.
  • Respects confidentiality.

Public Relations:

  • Represents Amnion in the community as delegated by the Executive Director.
  • Attends conferences that offer professional training and information pertinent to Amnions

practices, as directed by the Executive Director.

  • Participates in related community events with church partners and supporting organizations.

POSITION PARAMETERS

  • TIME COMMITMENT: 40 hours per week.
  • TRAVEL: May be required to work in both Norristown or Drexel Hill centers, as needed. Regular,

ongoing travel to key stakeholders, church and community organizations, and vendors.
