The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) is a 51-year old grassroots, member-led community-based organization rooted in the Bronx. We unite diverse people and institutions to work for racial justice and economic democracy through intergenerational community organizing that transforms the Bronx and beyond. NWBCCC uses direct action organizing, leadership development and coalition building to advance housing justice, health justice, immigrant rights and equitable community and economic development.
Housing justice is at the center of our work. We organize alongside tenants to win safe, healthy, affordable homes; hold negligent and predatory landlords accountable; and advance anti-displacement strategies that keep Bronx residents in their communities. We also organize for long-term solutions that expand community ownership and permanent affordability, including tenant-led stabilization and community ownership pathways such as community land trusts and tenant acquisition strategies.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Housing Community Organizer who is excited about field-based, relationship-driven organizing.
