Position Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and reliablePer Diem/Part-Time Driverto safely transport students to and from program locations. The ideal candidate will be punctual, safety-conscious, and committed to ensuring a positive experience for our participants.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from designated locations for programs, events, and activities.
• Maintain a timely and reliable transportation schedule.
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies.
• Perform basic vehicle safety checks before and after each trip.
• Communicate with staff regarding transportation logistics and any scheduling updates.
• Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle concerns promptly through pre and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of bus
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as requested
• Responsible for ensuring vehicles are refueled when the gas gauge reaches 14 tank.

Qualifications:

• Valid state-issued drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving passenger vehicles (e.g., vans, minibusses) preferred.
• Be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Be able to meet vision requirements
• Be able to perform physical activities like lifting, climbing, and stooping
• Be able to read and follow policies and procedures
• Be able to interact with a diverse student population
• Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with youth and staff.
• Punctual and dependable with strong communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required driving screenings.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Schedule:

• Hours will vary based on program needs (weekdays, evenings, and occasional weekends).
• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.

Compensation:

This is a per diem position with a pay range of $25 – $30 per hour.
