The Center for Workers Rights (CWR) seeks a bilingual (English/Spanish) Program Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position involving direct communication with low-wage workers, community outreach, and support across CWRs programs. The role requires in-person work in Sacramento, local travel, occasional evenings and weekends, and cross-training in outreach, organizing, and worker leadership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for workers seeking information, conducting intakes and hotline assessments.
- Provide accurate referrals and navigation of resources and services.
- Prepare and deliver Know Your Rights presentations and trainings for workers and partner organizations.
- Support outreach efforts including canvassing, phone banking, social media, and participation in community events.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of worker contacts, outreach activities and grant-required information.
- Assist with outreach and training logistics and maintain program calendars.
- Build and sustain relationships with CWR members, community partners, and organizers.
- Support program operations and collaborate with the organizing team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required.
- Experience working with low-wage, immigrant, or impacted communities.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Comfort using databases, spreadsheets, and digital tools.
- Basic understanding of California employment law or willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations or trainings.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow procedures.
- Valid California drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness and ability to work some evenings, weekends, and local travel as needed.
