- Siena House has served over 2,500 pregnant women and moms with children under two years of age since 1990. We are located less than a mile from Yankee Stadium. Our Mission is to “Help Women Help Themselves”. This Recreation Coordinator position is a catalyst for our mission.
- Coordinate and facilitate educational and recreational activities for our clients to enhance their job, social, and educational skills with the collaboration of community agencies and in-house staff
- Produce a monthly calendar of events and activities for our 27 clients
- Collaborate with staff to best serve and meet the needs of our clients
- Build bridges with organizations to serve their needs and continue the relationships with agencies such as NY Presbyterian Hospital, BronxWorks, Bronx Cares, etc.
- Display the monthly calendar on bulletin boards in the lounge and first floor hallway
- Submit the monthly calendar, after approval by the administration, to DHS
- Coordinate donations for the Siena House. For example, during the holiday season, many organizations donate to our residents. This position, with collaboration, is the facilitator of the donations.
- Maintains attendance records of activities and events and coordinates and facilitates any other job-related duties, as required by the administration to best serve our clients
