Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in political science, social sciences, international relations, law, public administration, economics or related field. A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required. French and Arabic are desirable. - A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in political or international affairs work, political, information analys is, political journalism, development, security (military operations, diplomacy, humanitarian affairs, human rights, or related field is required. Experience briefing senior officials on complex or multidimensional issues is desirable. Experience as part of a political reporting unit, Joint Mission Analys is Center or similar analys is capacity is desirable. Experience in data analytics, responsible data management or related area in support of data-based decision making is desirable. At least two years of work experience in or on the Middle East is desirable.
