Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent) in public administration, international relations, development or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required. French is desirable.   • A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Experience in designing, implementing institutional strategies and responses to crises, of major global impact in complex political environments is required. Experience in convening and managing multi-stakeholder special initiatives, programmes and projects, with the UN System, Member states, private sector and civil society etc., towards delivering on common sustainable development goals is required. Experience in providing thought leadership and senior level advice and guidance to senior management/decision makers is required.
