OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Housing Industry Foundation (HIF) seeks a collaborative and mission-driven operations professional to join our team and help power the day-to-day work that makes our impact possible. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager provides essential coordination and support across HIFs programs and internal operations, including operational, fiscal, and administrative functions. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive individual who takes pride in building strong systems, supporting teams, and contributing behind the scenes to HIFs long-standing commitment to strengthening communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations & Support:

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records for HIF, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily journal entries, and in-kind donations, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis and flag discrepancies promptly for review
  • Process and manage weekly revenue deposits and petty cash in coordination with the Managing Director
  • Support the Managing Director and Executive Director in annual budget preparation by providing accurate financial data, reports, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and file annual 1099 forms and ensure vendor records are complete and compliant
  • Compile and organize supporting documentation for the annual audit and tax preparation, working under the direction of leadership and external partners
  • Run and distribute standard financial reports as requested to support fundraising, board meetings, programs, and the annual report
  • Ensure financial data integrity by performing regular internal reviews and audits and escalating concerns or inconsistencies to leadership
  • Execute financial tasks with accuracy, timeliness, and transparency, recognizing that this role supports financial operations and does not set financial policy or make budgetary decisions.

  • Process and track receivables/payables for all Emergency Housing Fund grants
